Dundee West were hosted by Carnoustie at Carlogie park today in the semi final of the Dundee West anniversary cup.
On a bitterly cold Sunday afternoon it was very difficult to get everyone warmed up but the game started well for us and we were ahead on 4 minutes when Carnoustie failed to clear a corner and Callum Luke slammed in from close range to put us in front.
All the pressure came from Dundee West and with Carnoustie defending doggedly, and we found it hard to break them down.
On 28 minutes though Harry Welsh raced clear into Carnoustie's half and past the Carnoustie keeper and calmly finished into an empty net.
HT 2-0
Second half was a very scrappy affair and Dundee West were pulled into a game that didn't really suit our style, with few chances at either end.
FT 2-0
So in summary not our best performance of the season but enough to see us progress to our first final.
