Start of the midweek fixtures and Dundee West Royals welcomed Riverside West End to Baldragon for a 7.40PM KO.
A fast start was required and that's exactly what we got, with only 5 minutes into the game Keiran Luke assisted by Carden Forbes sent a looping shot over the Riverside goal keeper and into the net (1-0).
This however seemed to be a cue for a drop in tempo for Dundee West and although with some great football on display and plenty of chances created, the drop in tempo allowed Riverside to create chances of their own, to their credit as they battled for every ball.

For the second half the coaches asked for a bit more urgency and the boys went out and certainly did what was asked.
Keiran Luke with a great bit of play on the left then sent a superb ball across goal to be met by the head of Robbie Gilchrist and only 3 minutes after the restart .
Riverside never gave up and battled just as hard as they did in the first half, but on the 58 minute mark Alex Harrison killed the game off when he fired in a shot low and hard from just inside the box.
Final score: 3-0
Some great football on display from Dundee West and a good 3 points to take from a well organised Riverside team.
MOTM: Keiran Luke - who put in a fine display, and thoroughly deserved to be man of the match.
