Our Thursday fixture saw Dundee West Royals welcome Dundee United Social Club to Baldragon for the second of our double header against them this week.
The game started at a frantic pace with united social choosing to play with the wind at their backs it was them that had the best chances of the first half and the most notable of which saw Michael Gray brilliantly clearing off the line.
Half time: 0-0
Second half started and Dundee West had weathered the storm of the first half and were determined to create one of their own and it didn't take long! Four minutes into the half Josh Holt picked up the ball from Harry Welsh to then twist and turn to then find enough space to fire his shot past the opposition's keeper (1-0).
The game continued at an electrifying pace but on 57 minutes Ben Martin reacted first to a spilled shot by the keeper to tap in from close range (2-0).
This proved to be the final score in what was certainly a game of two halves. Dundee West extending their lead at the top of the table to 9 points and only requiring 1 point from their final 2 games to be named outright champions!
Michael Gray was named man of the match with an outstanding defensive performance.
Due to another good team performance, coaches players of the match was again awarded to whole team!
